About Anthem

We are a church for the city of Camarillo, helping people find their way back to God. 

Anthem Church exists to enjoy and make much of Jesus, to become more like him, and to live out the mission of God together in Ventura County.

At Anthem you’ll find a group of real people learning to follow Jesus together and wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here. 

The church is not a building or a weekend event, but a people. We aim to live out the Gospel in our cities throughout the week in Community Groups , and gather together each weekend as a collection of believers, a family, celebrating together, worshiping together and sitting under the authority of Scripture together at our Sunday Gatherings. From the parking lot, to kids check-in, to grabbing a cup of coffee, you’ll find a community of people who are genuinely glad you’re here!

Keeping Jesus at the Center. We are a church who strives to never move on from the good news of what Jesus has done for us, but deeper into it. We dedicate ourselves to the scriptures and are motivated to obey God’s Word in anything he asks of us—not because we’re trying to earn God’s love, but because we’re already loved in Jesus. He is the foundation for our entire lives. 

Loving Each Other Deeply. We aim to live like a healthy family in the way we love, serve and care for one another. We prize relationships over programs and believe that God uses us in his work to make each other more like Jesus. So we try to press in with one another in real and tangible ways. We believe God is our Father through Jesus and we’re called to love each other like brothers and sisters! We also know we are not in this alone. So we have an extended family of sorts, and pursue a variety of partnerships with like-minded churches, ministries and networks. 

Following Jesus in all of life. This is not a calling for some, but for all. In our worship, in our fellowship, in our mission we look to Jesus as our lead, and depend on the Holy Spirit to empower us to follow him. We seek to encourage one another towards maturity in Christ-likeness and doing the things he commanded. While seemingly simple, habits like worship, Bible reading and prayer, are primary ways of following Jesus in the way he lived. This is an ongoing pursuit, and not something we ever grow out of or finish this side of eternity.  

Sharing Jesus with Everyone. We desire for all in our church to live as those “sent by God” wherever we live, work, and play through our words and deeds. We long to bring the message of Jesus and see his mercy and justice advance through every area of our lives, so that all peoples can experience his kingdom in our city and world. We likewise want to support through our time, prayers and finances those engaged locally and globally in working for God’s kingdom.

Seeing God’s Kingdom Grow. We are a church who strives to raise up and multiply disciples that make disciples, at home and into the nations. We see this as essential to God’s kingdom growth and so we equip and prepare our leaders, our community groups and churches to be ready to multiply. 

Anthem Camarillo is part of a family of churches in Ventura County that seeks to bring a movement of reproducing churches empowered by the Gospel of Jesus to love and serve southern California and the world.
